While settling into my new home, I’ve made time for writing – naturally, that’s what I do – which (in part) also means admiring the wonderful new view from my office window.
We’re in a flat spot here, a smallish area that isn’t sideways, which means we’re far enough back to view a small mountain to one side and a whole mountain range to another. Behind us, of course, are hills and other ranges, but my office looks to the front and as dawn rises I can see clouds covering the mountaintops or mist rising in the valley.
It’s all very inspirational.
Oh yes, the actual writing part… Yes, that is happening and going well. While a beautiful view can be a distraction, it’s also incredibly uplifting. I cannot help but be grateful here and appreciate all that I have, it’s a nice place to have landed.

Yes, just a short post. Tomorrow I’ll tell you more about the wildlife here – Tiger snakes.
Cheers all! 😀

Wondered where you had disappeared to……. tap tap tap……
Hey Artie! Good to see you! Yep, tapping away and going great. Cheers. 😀
That is my fingers are tapping away – I know your foot is tapping away – I’ll get there, I will! 😀
I can imagine how beautiful the view is. 😀
Semangat menulis, Allyson. ❤ ❤ ❤
Terima kasih, Yuna. Iya, my writing is going very happily. 😀 Cheers to you.
It looks amazing! What part of the world is are you in?
Hi Dominick. Thank you so much. I am in Australia. Where are you situated? Cheers. 🙂
I am up in Darwin Australia. We don’t have any mountains like that up here. In fact it is very flat.
I know Darwin! I spent 15 years up there! Loved it! All the “wilderness pictures” and adventures I listed under the “wilderness living” tag (dropdown menu at the top) came from when we lived wild at Lake Bennett (250 acres, no house for 5 years). We lived in a hole in the ground and there were pythons under the bed!!!
The Top End will always be a special place to me. It’s where I got a love for the wild places. Hard to believe but that was 20 years ago. I haven’t been able to live in a city since, don’t even like to visit. And that’s why we found this place (in Victoria) in isolation.
😀
It is a beautiful place, it is filling up though. Sounds like a great place to live in the middle of nowhere. You must miss being here.
I have been here for 4 years now and I just love it. The friendly people the crazy weather and the wide open spaces.
You should come up for a visit.
Crazy weather is right! Totally upside down. Loved the Wet season, the rain and the storms. Learned not to sleep with a blanket over me but still got prickly heat. Yes I do miss it at times (the Top End, that is, not the prickly heat). They say you either love it up there or hate it. Sounds like you and I both love it. 😀
One day I’ll visit again.
