It’s a little trick done to get as much into the reader page of Blogsville because they cut you off at your first full stop or at your first link, and too short a sentence is not going to draw browsers to look any further unless there is something amazingly interesting there.
Stuff like that.

I overdo it sometimes, as many of you are sure to have noticed – lots of dashes for full stops. Apologies for it and I shall try to be less verbose with the opener in future.
That’s it really.
Yes, I know this is a short post, how about I make up for it next time?
Have a great weekend, everyone. Cheers!

This was funny! 🙂
Thank you! 😀
It’s your voice that makes the post interesting.
Thank you, that’s nice to know. 😀
Hmm. I bet those who teach how to draw traffic to an online site could use your help 😀 Just kidding. But I really caught the humor in this.
I like eye-catching openers or titles — they are like mental appetizers.
Hi Uzoma! Yes, “eye-catching” is what I aim for. 😀
Useful, I didn’t know that, I’ll try and be more verbose with my openers as they are often one line … hope all good with you, I sent an email, something you might be able to help with:)
Warm regards
Don Charisma
I found the same with getting only one line up, so I had a good look at why some people got a whole paragraph in. 😀
Thanks for your email – I’ve answered it.
Cheers to you.
