Stages 1, 2, 3 complete. Yippee!

Yes, over the weekend, my tried and trusted official reader (hubby Greg) finished reading “The King’s Sacrifice”, 2nd in the Khekarian series (science fiction), and has given his approval. His words? “Excellent read. If anything, better than the first book.” He loved it.

Funnily enough, I thought it was marginally better, too, which is saying something as I am thrilled to bits with the first one, “The Khekarian Threat”. I put that notion down to the second story being fresher to me, having spent so much time in the first one, but as that is not the case for Greg, there must be more to it than that. That makes book 2 crash hot, if I may be permitted a complete lack of modesty here [cough, cough -blush-]. 🙂

So, what are we waiting for?

Very little now. I needed the final page count to give to Laura of the Book Cover Machine for a full wrap cover, which I couldn’t give while there was still the possibility of any rewrite. The moment I knew I could run with what I have, I contacted Laura with that info. That was last Sunday. Sometime through this week she will send me the completed cover and I shall launch  the book straight away.

My next post will tell you when this is done.

Thank you everyone, for your patience and all your good wishes to date. You are not only very important to me, you keep me working hard and determined not to let you down.

Thank you, too, Greg, for making time for me in your very busy schedule, for catching those typos and errors I missed (there’s always some!) and for your patience, also, as I know you’ve waited for this book since you read and loved the first one. It’s great that I can keep my secrets from you and give you an undisclosed new story.

And, yep, I’m already working on book 3, although I will take some time out to go swimming with some friends – yes, yes, while continuing to write in the background, I promise.

Cheers all. 😀

Super Greg, I must add. This is great news! I pray your committment to this book in the series will be rewarded with plenty readership. Yes, I’d like to say it again! I think it’s only natural for one to better her own record. But then, that doesn’t mean the first isn’t worth it. As a matter of fact, it is the door to all of them.

Yeah! Just waiting for the announcement to go off and buy a fabulous new read.
Yeah for swimming time too. I will be there with bells on.

      Hi Beth!

😀 Laura’s on it and already shown me one draft for the full-wrap. She’s just tweaking for me. I can’t wait to see this out, it seems to have come together very quickly, and I really enjoyed this one.

I’m looking forward to the swim, too. Let’s make it as the new week starts – Monday in the USA. I don’t want to barely get in the door, then be off for the weekend. 🙂

Yes, it seems to have been right on, or even ahead of schedule.
I’m glad you are pleased with the result and I’m sure all the readers will be as well.

As for the swim, don’t have too much fun without me. I’ll be around late in the evening monday. Going on a short vacay!
    See you then.
