Just what kind of blog is this anyway?

I know, I know, just as you thought this was a writing blog, it turned into a wilderness site – I can’t believe I showed you our primitive toilet seat (some people show pictures of their children. Me? Snakes, a toilet seat and lots of trees. Never mind, more to come) – so I suppose I should put in an appearance as a writer before everyone wanders down the wilderness trail and gets lost.

How about I give you an update?

Yes, that does mean I am at my desk writing plot and manuscript at least some part every day, just in case you were getting worried on that score. I’ve got Va’el introduced, and Aleisha as well, plus Sedarra and a few others, so I can get on with the action. I have an interesting long-term goal happening for Va’el. At some point down the track (oh, say about book 5), that’s going to dump me in the deep end, but I shall wrestle with that then. Have to have something to look forward to, right?

That’s about all I can tell you. I don’t do spoilers. Hmmm – that was short and sweet.

Okay, I’ll tell you what’s happening on this blog.

As quite a few people enjoyed seeing pictures of me handling big pythons and other pictures, I have put up a Wilderness Photos tab in the upper menu bar (next to bio). Every post that contains photos of our wilderness habitat will go in there, in the same order that they were posted (earliest at the top), which should make for easier finding, should anyone want another look at snakes or whatever.

Other than that, I’m thinking of re-writing my bio.

Oh, this is all boring. Here, have another photo.

This is Cumulus. He came with us onto the block and was the major reason we removed pythons from our camp. He survived pythons, dingoes, and all the rest and lived to a good old age. And that’s my lot for today. 🙂

Cheers all,

      Hi Marie, 🙂

I’m so glad you have enjoyed my adventure tales – I’ll give some more shortly (just wondered if people were maybe getting tired of them).

Sorry you missed the snake photos – I’m proud of those ones more than any others. Picking up a snake seemed like the biggest challenge before I did it, but after the first time, I just felt great to be able to. I’m so pleased I got some photos of me holding them, or it’d just be my word for it (it surprised me, looking back at the pics just how big they were), so it’s great to be able to show people that, yes, I did that. 🙂

Have a great day! Cheers! 😀

I have loved seeing all of your adventures.
They show a lot about what kind of person you are, one who can tackle anything and come out of it with a great story to tell. And that shows what kind of writer you are, one with some great stories to tell.

      Hi Beth,

What a wonderful thing to say. 🙂 Thank you! It sounds like I haven’t bored my audience to tears yet, at least not all of them. More coming, then.

      Cheers! 😀
