Shades of Kassandra (daughter of King Priam of Troy) who bargains with the god Apollo for her virginity & accepted the gift of unerring foresight as payment. She gets her gift, but as a parting “sting” Apollo adds a caveat – whatever she predicts, nobody will ever believe her (or she fights him off, but with the same result – depending on which version you read). She was taken as a slave by Agamemnon when Troy fell & was murdered with him by Clytemnestra.
