I suppose all artists are the same – all creative people – it’s certainly true for writers, every moment of every day wraps around writing, plotting or characterization in one form or another.

Even at work. While you will immerse yourself in the task at hand, particularly dealing with people, you can’t help but bring some aspect of your project in with you. Not necessarily dealing with customers, but you know in your heart that every free moment – or at any mundane task – you’re off again, exploring the world in your head and making comparisons.
